I am in the process of looking for employment. I am a lawyer and a LL.M student. I have extensive business experience and have worked for a wide variety of clients. I am 35 years old and I have never really looked for a job. I must admit that I do not know where to start. I have been doing some work with a start-up in Toronto but the commute is killing me and I have second kid on the way. As such, I need to get a job in the Kitchener-Waterloo-Guelph area. I just have no idea how to go about it. Thus, you will be hearing little from me over the course of the next couple of months. So, if you are looking for a lawyer or a communications consultant in the area, leave a comment.

...and good for him. The job of Harper's Communications director was to be a thankless job when Norquay took it ... little did he know that it was an influenceless job as well....

CBC's "The Current" saw it this way ...from The Opening Voice:

It's Thursday, June 30th. And thousands of the world's top card sharks have
gathered in Los Vegas, for the World Series of Poker. Six weeks of calculating
your odds, bluffing your way out of a weak hand and trying to figure out what
your opponent is holding.

Currently, in an "unrelated" story, Stephen Harper's communications
director, Geoff Norquay, is stepping down after ... um ... six weeks of
calculating his odds, get bluffed out of a strong hand and ... uh ... not
knowing what his opponent was holding.

At least he knows when to fold them. Knows when to walk away. And knows
when to run.

This is The Current.
